Cityheart appoints Centrick to help bring Stopford Park community vision to life

Stockport, June 2026: Regeneration specialist Cityheart has appointed Centrick, a leading independent property solutions partner, to deliver estate management, rentals and build-to-rent operations at Stopford Park, its landmark £140 million mixed-use regeneration scheme in the heart of Stockport.
Cityheart appoints Centrick to help bring Stopford Park community vision to life

The appointment follows a competitive selection process and signals an exciting new chapter for this highly anticipated development, further strengthening momentum for Stopford Park as it continues to move towards completion.

The partnership brings together two organisations that share a deep commitment to creating places where people can thrive. Cityheart chose Centrick not only for its strong residential management expertise, but because both teams believe successful developments are built around real, connected communities.

Centrick will manage the Stopford Park estate and its public Art Park, support residents and oversee building management at Bosden and operate the build-to-rent homes Torkington and Lyme, as residents
begin moving in to Torkington early 2027.

Located on Greek Street, Stopford Park is a key part of Town Centre West – the 130-acre regeneration area being delivered by the Stockport Mayoral Development Corporation as part of a wider £1 billion investment programme. The development will deliver 442 new homes across three contemporary
residential buildings, alongside a publicly accessible Art Park. It will also see the historic Grade II listed Cheers & Smith building restored and brought back to life as a vibrant co-working space.

Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, Cityheart set out to find an operating partner that understands the distinct character of Stopford Park and Stockport. The aim is to create a seamless
experience for residents across both rental and owner-occupier homes, ensuring everyone feels part of a single community.

Centrick’s on-site teams will provide day-to-day stewardship of the estate, helping to create a welcoming environment for residents and visitors alike. Working closely with Cityheart, they will also deliver resident engagement initiatives and community events that help foster a strong sense of
belonging from day one. With responsibility for more than 30,000 homes across the UK, Centrick brings extensive experience in
residential management, building safety, asset management and customer service.

Ultimately, it was their people-first approach and clear commitment to building strong communities that made them the
standout choice.

Penny Langton, Marketing Director at Cityheart, said “Throughout the selection process, it was clear that Centrick shared our appreciation for Stockport’s strong sense of community, character and ambition. Together, we are focused on creating homes where people can put down roots, building on the energy and confidence that’s already shaping Stockport today.”

Phil Johns, Managing Director at Centrick, said: “Stopford Park is the kind of development that demonstrates what regeneration can achieve when vision and execution align. This is an exciting time
for Stockport, and we’re proud to be partnering with Cityheart. We share their commitment to building genuine communities and are looking forward to bringing that vision to life, creating a place residents are genuinely proud to call home.”

Construction is progressing well at Stopford Park, with the first homes expected to welcome residents in 2026. Apartments at Bosden are now available for sale, while the build-to-rent homes are expected to
become available from the first quarter of 2026.
