Cityheart and Wigan Council have broken ground at the £135 million Galleries shopping centre redevelopment scheme in the heart of Wigan town centre. Appointed contractor, BCEGI has started work on site commencing with the demolition of the carpark bridge.
Cityheart has been granted planning permission for its £135 million redevelopment of the Galleries Shopping Centre in Wigan town centre. The hybrid planning application was submitted jointly by Cityheart and Wigan Council.
A legal agreement between Wigan Council and Cityheart has been signed. The contract marks a significant leap forward in the £135m plans to redevelop The Galleries shopping centre.
Wigan Council has officially announced that Galleries25 – a joint venture partnership between Cityheart and Beijing Construction Engineering Group International (BCEGI) – has been appointed as the Strategic Development Partner for the £130 million redevelopment of the Galleries Shopping Centre in Wigan.
