Developed on the former Frodsham High School site owned by Cheshire West and Chester County Council. Cityheart worked in joint venture with Community Solutions Partnership Services (CSPS) to deliver this scheme which is one of the largest health centres in the North West.
Cityheart, led by Mark McNamee, were the developer with specific responsibility for acquiring the land, the complete design development process, obtaining planning consent, letting and managing the construction stage. CSPS provided the funding package.
Pochin Construction were the chosen contractor and delivered this BREEAM ‘Excellent’ building ahead of schedule and on budget. Furthermore, under our detailed activity review we were able to reduce overall size of the accommodation by approximately 25% leading to a substantial revenue saving for the NHS.
The services now enhanced and provided by the new centre include Community Contraception and Sexual Health Service, Community Heart Failure Service, Community Matrons, Community Midwives (Children’s Services), Continence Service, Dental Services, Dermatology Service, Dietetics, District Nursing, Health Improvement, Health Visitors (Children’s Services), Mental Health Services (Primary Care), Minor Surgery, Phlebotomy Service, Physiotherapy (MSK Service), Podiatry, School Health Service, Speech and Language Therapy, Social Services and Tissue Viability Service.
Paul Smith, Practice Manager of the Frodsham Health Practice said, “In terms of the overall project, Mark McNamee and Cityheart have delivered what they promised at the outset of this project. Without his overall vision, this would be something less than it is”.
