We recently brought our Art Battle Manchester event to the stunning Grade II listed ‘Cheers & Smith’ building owned by Cityheart in Stockport.

The building had been empty for many years and was situated in the middle of a building site. Most developers would have run a mile from the idea of bringing 500 people in for a lively cultural event! Not Cityheart, they embraced the meaning of the word collaboration from the onset, rolled their sleeves up and pulled out all the stops to make the event happen in such a historic space. Their support and attention to detail helped make the event a huge success for the people of Stockport. It was a huge amount of effort and testimony to Cityheart’s commitment to the local community and to embedding culture and art into place. Penny and James in particular were absolute trojans. A real pleasure to work with
