Moving ahead in Hull

Cityheart have entered into Agreement for Leases with tenants for 8 out of the 11 units in its Orchard Park retail scheme.  Tenants include Heron, McColl’s, Coral and Couplands Bakeries.

The first phase of the scheme will start on site in mid March 2014 with the full scheme opening by November 2014.

Planning submitted for Sainsbury’s local scheme in Wigan

Cityheart have exchange conditional contracts to purchase the former petrol station on Mesnes Road (Main Rd) in Wigan, where J Sainsbury have entered into an Agreement to Lease for its ‘Local’ store format. It is hoped that work will start on site in May 2014.

Cityheart purchase Glasgow building for student scheme

Cityheart and its partner Marbury Properties have acquired a 75,000 sqft office building in Glasgow for conversion to student accommodation.

The scheme has a planning consent for 212 bed with ancillary space.

Cityheart have been appointed the preferred bidder for Bangor University’s new student accommodation scheme

Aftter a very competitive procurement process, cityheart with its partners CRM Ltd and Vinci Construction have been appointed as Preferred Bidder to deliver 602 student beds for Bangor University at the St Mary’s site.

This exciting scheme was submitted in Mid-January and it is the intention to start on site in April 2014 with delivery in September 2015. Faulkner Brown are the architects.

Cityheart and Marine F C submit plans for new ground improvements and convenience store

Cityheart and its partners Marine F C of College Road, Crosby have submitted plans to re-model the football clubs facilities and provide a 4,000 sqft food convenience store.

Marine F C, which currently plays in the ‘Evo-Stick League Northern Premier Division, will use funds from the development to re-invest into contiued ground improvements and the running of the club.

Cityheart buy the former Blackhorse pub in Failsworth, Oldham

Cityheart have purchase the former Black Horse pub site on Oldham Road in Failsworth have sucessfully won a planning consent for 2,000 sq ft of A1 and A5 retail and takeaway space.  The scheme is pre-let to Domino’s Pizza and Co-op Funeral care.

Work is due to start on site in early March 2014.

Cityheart submit planning in Glasgow

Cityheart, along with its partner Credential Holdings have submitted a planning application to Glasgow City Council for a 220 student bed scheme, which also includes space for offices, creche, media room and wardens flats.

Cityheart were appointed preferred developer by the Glasgow School of Art in the summer of 2013, and have worked with its partners Credential Holdings to purchase Blythswood House to convert the building for the School of Art.

CityHeart hand over 778 beds to Edinburgh Napier University

Cityheart have handed over 778 beds at its Fountainbridge scheme to Edinburgh Napier University in time for the new influx of students. The scheme comprises 6,7 and 8 bedroom clusters in addition to a new Students Union facility and a public park.  In addition, Cityheart have let 4,400 sq ft to Sainsburys for its ‘Local’ store format.

The scheme achieved a BREEAM Excellent rating and was Funded by Standard Life Investments, with the construction by Pochin.
